Healthy Washington - A Roadmap to Recovery

Little League International COVID-19 Updates

SLL Statement on Games & Scrimmages:
updated 5/15/21

Washington State is now in Phase 3 of the Healthy Washington: Roadmap to Recovery plan.

Snohomish Little League will be following recommendations from the Washington State Governor’s office, the most recent guidelines from the “Healthy Washington” initiative, WA District 1 Little League, and the Snohomish School District.  The below guidelines are subject to change as the season progresses.

Baseball, Softball and T-Ball are considered a 'Moderate contact outdoor sport'.

Health Status

  • Families should complete the health status questionnaire in the Game Changer app or bring a printed copy (pdf above) prior to each practice & game.
    • If a player has not completed the health status questionnaire, a coach or team manager will do so.
  • Coaches will take the temperature of all players prior to a practice or game.

Facial coverings & Player Dugout

  • Effective immediately, masks are not a requirement for players, coaches and spectators, but a personal choice based on whether you have received the vaccine.
  • If you and/or your player has yet to receive the vaccine or have elected not to, we ask that you continue to use caution and preventative measures to protect yourselves and your families, including the wearing of masks.
  • With the exception of the three players next to bat, dugouts will continue to not be used. Players will continue to either sit on the bleachers or stand distanced along the fence line while waiting their turn to bat. Rookie and T-Ball players will continue to be spaced out on the benches. This is for the protection of our players, as the majority of them do not yet have the opportunity to receive the vaccine.

Facilities and spectator capacities

  • Outdoor training, practices and competitions allowed.
  • For facilities or complexes with more than one field or area of play a maximum of 150 people allowed per field or area of play, including spectators.
  • Two spectators per player are permitted at practices and games.  Each player will be given two wristbands for use by designated spectators.
  • Coaches, board members and approved volunteers actively participating in team or league activities will not need a wristband; rather, they will be provided a lanyard with Snohomish Little League credentials to be worn at league activities.
  • All spectators of different households are to remain physically distant, 6 feet or more, as much as possible.
  • Bleachers are for players ONLY. Please bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on.
  • Pack in & pack out. This includes all trash.

Away Games & Visiting Teams

  • At away games, Snohomish Little League teams and spectators are subject to the home team's guidelines and policies. In the absence of clear guidelines, teams are encouraged to follow Snohomish Little League guidelines to maintain consistency for players.
  • Visiting teams including players and spectators are subject to Snohomish Little League policies and guidelines.
