Register your child in the division that best matches their current skill level and join us at our optional open evaluation day. At evaluations you can meet the divisional board members and support team, ask questions and If adjustments are needed, we’ll work with you to ensure every child is placed where they’ll have fun, grow, and succeed.

If you believe your child should play up or down a division, or if you have questions about evaluations or the division that is best for your player, please contact the Futures Director to discuss the situation and get registered in the proper division.

DIVISION DESCRIPTIONS
Tee Ball
Tee Ball is the entry level division for players ages 4-7. The experience is grounded in fun, fitness, and fundamentals while also being a key to growing a player’s love for the game. The goal at seasons’ end is that players have had a fun and informative experience and are prepared to take the next step in lower division programs.
Schedule: 2 events per week (1-hour), including Saturday
This Division Program is ideal for Players who:
- Have never played Little League or had one year of Tee Ball with another program (i9, YMCA, etc.)
- Need time to develop swing mechanics, basic base running, and throwing
- Benefit from a slower pace and more guided instruction
What a player and family should expect:
- Hitting from a tee, using a tee ball bat and tee balls specific to their division
- Introduction to base running, fielding positions, field layout
- Introduction to throwing, catching and defensive awareness
- A fun and safe environment that prompts sportsmanship, teamwork, listening and attention
- Team size will vary between ~10-15 players. Players will hit in consecutive order, and outs are not recorded
Parents and coaches are strongly encouraged to participate in the facilitation of practices and games that promotes a safe, instructive and fun environment
League Age Range: 4-5 years old
Futures
This level of play fosters continued skills development and a better understanding of the rules and nuances of the game. The focus remains on the fun of playing the sport while more coaching attention is given to fielding, making plays, accurate throwing, and proper hitting techniques. Players will experience a combination of coach-pitched balls and the use of a batting tee. The goal at seasons' end is to prepare the players for their first season of Single A Baseball or Rookies Softball.
Schedule: 2 events per week (1-1.5 hours each), including Saturday
This Division Program is ideal for players who:
- Have completed at least one year of Tee Ball
- Designed for both future baseball and softball players
- Show skill progression in throwing, catching & holding a defensive position (avoidance of dog-piling and collective ball chasing)
- Has demonstrated ability or desire to hit at a thrown ball
- Your player is not yet ready for a competitive program but is looking for more structure.
Increased degree of focus and attention, to ensure a safe environment
What a player and family should expect:
- More emphasis on defensive skills: force outs and tagging runners, creating building blocks of what to do when the ball is in play
- A fun and safe environment that prompts sportsmanship, teamwork, listening and attention
- Hitting techniques and at-bat approach
- Improved skill development in throwing, catching, and fielding balls in play
- Game rules are embraced and explained in an age-appropriate manner
- Base running technics are taught running through first base, staying on your base, tagging up on a fly ball
Parents and coaches are strongly encouraged to participate in the facilitation of practices and games that a promotes safe, instructive and fun environment
