2024 Spring Tryouts

Tryouts will take place February 2, 3, and 4.

Your child MUST be registered with Snohomish Little League to try out. If you have not registered, do so now. Your player will not be able to attend tryouts if they are not registered.

All players who attend tryouts will be placed on a team. No players are ‘cut’ from the league.

All players league-age 8+ must attend ONE tryout. Please do not attend multiple sessions. Baseball players should attend the session that corresponds with their league age, NOT their current age. You can identify your player's league age here. League-age 7-year-olds attempting to play in the AA division can attend the 8-year-old sessions. PLEASE NOTE: If your player was on a Majors Baseball team last year, they will be placed on the same team for the upcoming season and do not need to attend tryouts. If your player does not want to play on the same Majors team or are changing divisions, they will need to attend the appropriate tryout. Please contact the player agents, Andy Trask and Rick Leo, or the VP of Baseball, Jason Martin, if you do not want to be placed on the same Majors team as last year or if you are unsure if you need to attend tryouts. Approved coach's kids do not need to attend tryouts. Softball players should attend the session that corresponds with the division they want to play in. You can identify softball divisions by age here and your player's league age here. League-age 7-year-olds attempting to play in the 89ers division can attend the 89ers sessions.
All players will be evaluated by coaches, volunteers, and board members to ensure they are placed in the appropriate division relative to their skill level. February 2 | Snohomish High School Stadium

FAQ

What if my player cannot make tryouts?

How do I determine my player's League age?

Can spectators watch?

  • We are asking parents, guardians, and other family members to remain off the field and behind the fence line during tryouts for safety and to allow coaches to work directly with the players. There is a seated area for viewing.

What can my player expect?

  • Each player will visit stations targeted toward various skills: ground balls, fly balls, hitting, baserunning and pitching.

What should my player bring to the tryouts?

  • Comfortable, athletic clothes (typical softball/baseball practice attire), glove, bat, helmet, athletic cup for boys, comfortable shoes (tennis or turf shoes are recommended), and a personal water bottle, if desired.

What should I expect after tryouts?

  • After tryout weekend concludes, the league will hold a draft for both softball and baseball. The player agent will have a grade for each player to ensure they are being drafted into the appropriate division. Coaches will draft their teams and notify you and your player once teams are finalized. If your league-age 7-year-old was attempting to play in AA/89ers but did not make it, we will notify you.
